STUDENTS of Naleba Primary and Kindergarten schools converged on the school hall this morning to attend the school’s annual prizegiving ceremony.
Speaking to children during the ceremony, chief guest and Vodafone Friendly North Festival committee chairperson Vishwa Deo reminded the children that today was a celebration of their efforts throughout the year.
Mr Deo encouraged those who did not receive prizes to strive to get recognised next year saying everybody was a winner.
Speaking to parents, Mr Deo said they were duty-bound to ensure their children received proper education and support.
“As parents, you have a duty to ensure your children recognise their potential and walk towards their dreams,” he said.
