THE Australian government has supported 82 Australian volunteers in Fiji between 2017 and 2018.
A representative from the Australian High Commission based in Suva said this included 40 new volunteers who worked within 52 partner organizations across the Fijian Government.
The representative also added a total of 64 Australia Awards have been offered by the Australian government in 2018 for Fijians.
“The Australian government has supported scholarship programs in Fiji for approximately 40 years now. Since the mid-1980s, over 2000 Fijians have studied in Australia with Australian government funding,” the representative said.
