THE Fijian Government will not consider the use of the dual payment system to cater for those who have no access to e-ticketing cards.
This was clarified in Parliament by Acting Prime Minister and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum today while responding to a supplementary question by Opposition MP Aseri Radrodro who asked as to whether the Government would consider introducing the dual payment system to cater for people in rural areas who did not have e-transport cards.
“The answer is no Madam Speaker,” Mr Sayed- Khaiyum said.
He said the Land Transport Authority has allocated inspectors to ensure that everyone complied with the law.
The e-ticketing system was introduced in October last year.
