Spectators of the 2024 Coca-Cola Games will pay $55 for a grandstand seat for the three-day event.
The Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association confirmed this price as a three-day package for those wishing to watch from the grandstand.
Association acting general Secretary Biu Colati clarified that people also have a choice of purchasing individual tickets for which ever day they choose to watch the Games.
The official launch of the Fiji Finals tickets will be done on Monday at 4pm.
Meanwhile, more than 3000 students are expected to participate in the three-day event.
The Fiji Secondary School Athletics Association will launch the official Fiji Finals ticket on Monday, April 22.
Association acting general secretary Biu Colati said they had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Fiji Sports Council yesterday with the official ticket launch to be done on Monday at 4pm.
“These are the steps that we have to take before any ticket sale can take place,” Colati said.
He has also clarified the price of tickets for the three-day event.
This was after some members of the public raised their concerns on various social media platforms regarding the ridiculous increase in ticket prices.
Some claimed that the grandstand tickets were selling for $65 for the three days, compared to $45 last year.
The Fiji Competition and Consumer Commission had stepped in and written to FSSAA to cease the sale of conditional tickets.
“Ticket price is $55 for all the three days. People choosing the grass embankment will be charged $10 per ticket and $15 for concrete embankment daily,” he said.
Spectators also have the option of purchasing individual tickets for which ever day they choose to watch the Games.
“For daily grandstand tickets, it’s $20 for day one, $20 for day two and $25 forday three. This will go on sale on the day of the event, for example, day one ticket will only be sold on day one, day two tickets will be sold only on day two and so forth,” Colati added.
The 2024 Coca-Cola Games will be held from May 2-4 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
