INVESTMENT Fiji has appointed new members to its board of directors.
The three new appointees are Fiji Airports general manager Finance Sanjana Mishra, Basic Industries Pte Limited chief executive officer Naushad Ali and Reserve Bank of Fiji deputy Governor Esala Masitabua.
Sanjana Mishra
Ms Mishra leads Fiji Airports’ finance function with over two decades of experience in the aviation sector.
She has played a key role in driving financial excellence, organisational transformation, and sustainable growth initiatives.
Ms Mishra is passionate about developing high-performing teams, strengthening governance, and delivering sustainable outcomes that support Fiji Airports’ strategic objectives and Fiji’s broader economic development.
Naushad Ali
Mr Ali brings more than 25 years of experience across manufacturing, infrastructure, aviation, logistics, retail, financial services, and investment sectors.
His career includes senior leadership roles such as chief financial officer and company secretary of Golden Manufacturers Group, business manager of the Fulton Hogan Hiways Joint Venture, and GM Finance and company secretary at Fiji Airports Limited, where he also served as acting CEO.
He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Financial Management and Economics, and is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Chartered Accountant with the Fiji Institute of Accountants, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
His other governance roles include director of Fijian Holdings Fund Management Limited and director of the Tax Agents Board.
Esala Masitabua
Mr Masitabua has been part of the RBF’s executive team since 2004 and has led operations across currency management, international reserves, monetary policy, financial stability, and prudential regulation.
He has also represented Fiji at high-level global and regional engagements and contributed to technical work including Climate and SME Financing, AML/CFT, Digital Transformation, Financial Inclusion, Cybersecurity, and Regional Central Banking Collaboration. From November 2023 to October 2025, he was seconded to the International Monetary Fund as Advisor to the Executive Director for the Southeast Asia Voting Group.
The board welcomed the new directors. and said it looked forward to their expertise and strategic insight to continue advancing Fiji’s investment priorities and create lasting opportunities for the local economy and the people.
