Akeneta Lutu of Lomaivuna High School has won the first gold medal of day two in the 3000m girls open grade at the 2024 Coca-Cola Games.

Lutu upset favourite Mahatma Gandhi Memorial High School’s Gladness Simpson to take out the first place while Simpson settled for silver.

Wainibuka Secondary School’s Sereana Bakeibau finished third.
