2019 Coke Games: Taukei’s win pushes MBHS up medal tally

MARIST Brothers High School has taken the lead in the unofficial medal tally in the boys’ division at the 2019 Coca-Cola Games underway at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

This after Christian Taukei threw a distance of 12.87m in the sub-junior boys’ shotput event to win gold.

Josefo Qalovi also of Marist Brothers High School won silver in this event, while Jeremaia Vukivanua of Suva Grammar School settled for bronze.

Taukei’s win has enabled the Kaunikuila Boys to take the lead with a total of 12 medals – two gold, seven silver medals and three bronze medals.

Ratu Kadavulevu School is in second place with two gold and one silver.

Suva Grammar School is in third place with two gold and one bronze medal.
