THE McDonald’s Fijian Drua Women coach Mike Legge has called on rugby fans across the Western Division to pack Churchill Park and become the team’s “16th player” in their Super W home semi-final against the Queensland Reds this Saturday.

Legge believes a capacity crowd could provide the edge needed to propel the Drua into the competition’s grand final.

“The girls deserve a sell-out crowd,” he said.

“We’re expecting a packed Churchill Park. They’ll have their families and friends there, so it’s going to be good, positive pressure.”

Legge said the Lautoka faithful had already shown the impact they could have after inspiring the Drua during their victory over the Western Force earlier this season.

“They were massive for us against the Force. The crowd really picked the girls up in the second half.”

The Drua coach described hosting only the club’s second home semi-final as a significant milestone.

“It’s a massive milestone for us as a club.”

He praised the players for handling pressure throughout the campaign after rebounding from their opening-round defeat to finish the regular season as minor premiers.

“The girls have been under pressure since the second round, and they’ve handled it really well.”

“They’ve won the last four games and put themselves in a position to finish as minor premiers.”

Legge urged supporters from Lautoka, Nadi and across Viti Levu to create an intimidating atmosphere for the visitors.

“Let’s make it really uncomfortable for the visiting team by having a sell-out crowd there.”

The winner of Saturday’s clash will advance to the 2026 Super W grand final

The second semi-final clash is between Western Force and NSW Waratahs at HBF Park in Perth, Australia. The Drua and Reds clash will kick start at 1pm.
