When it comes to the Coca-Cola Games, the 100m senior boys blue ribbon race is the most highly anticipated event that spectators eagerly await.

Queen Victoria School student Senirusi Rauqe emerges as the favourite, boasting a best manual time of 10.70 seconds from the Tailevu Zone meet.

Challenging Rauqe is Semesa Caginivalu, a sprinter from Suva Grammar School who recorded the second fastest manual time of 10.90 seconds in the Suva Zone 2 competition.

Josevani Ramaraca of Bhawani Dayal College made history for his school by clinching victory in the blue ribbon event at the Triple N Zone with an impressive time of 10.93 seconds.

Mariselo Moceituba from Holy Cross College and Penaia Ramasirai of MGM High School are additional contenders for the coveted title this year, having showcased their talents with times of 11.06 seconds and 11.50 seconds respectively in their zone competitions.

As the Coca-Cola Games draws near, anticipation grows among spectators to see who will emerge victorious in the highly competitive event.

Competition starts next Thursday to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
