OPPOSITION Whip Lynda Tabuya says both parties in the August House need to come together as one.
While delivering her maiden speech in Parliament this morning Ms Tabuya said she has heard the call by the President Jijoji Konrote earlier in the week.
Ms Tabuya said she was looking forward to working with the respective Minister of the house in addressing various issues that affected members of the public.
“We cannot let our past define us,” she said.
Ms Tabuya said working together could build the future we all want.
“At the end of the day we are all one team, at the end of the day it is the nation that wins,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ms Tabuya also spoke about her humble beginnings and thanked all that have been behind her success.
