The acting PS said the hours were stipulated in the Policy on Hours of Work of the Public Service that was released in June 2011.

He said working hours for all day workers in the civil service should be 37 hours a week, 8m-4:30pm from Monday to Thursday and 8am4:00pm on Friday.
