THE Makoi Women’s Vocational Training Centre hosted an open day on Saturday, giving women and students an opportunity to showcase their skills and products.
The event featured a range of handmade items produced by women and students who had received training at the centre.
Visitors were able to view and purchase products including quilts, handicrafts and other creative works, along with a selection of freshly prepared pastries.
The open day also provided an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the training and skills development opportunities available at the centre.
Free medical check-ups were also offered to members of the public attending the event, adding a health and wellbeing component to the community-focused initiative.
The event highlighted the practical skills acquired by women through training while creating an avenue for them to display and market their work.
