A FEW women racers are turning heads at the Fiji Motor Sports Association Quarter-Mile Drag Race.

Sindhu Prakash clocked a time of 14.39 seconds and finished above 19 other participants at the race last Sunday.

She finished 13th overall and took out the first prize in the women’s category.

FMA president Raizal Haniff said it was good to see women racers making the headlines at the drags lately.

“Sindhu Prakash broke the all-time record time for a woman racer lately and she is slowly climbing up the ladder. Apart from her, we have a few other women racers who are providing stiff competition to Ms Prakash,” Haniff said.

Meanwhile, Vicky Nath took out the overall men’s category with a time of 10.38 seconds.
