Woman arrested as search continues for escaped prisoner

A woman was arrested last night for her alleged involvement in harbouring escaped prisoner Lemeki Tupali.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the 32-year-old suspect was arrested in Raiwai and is believed to have met Tupali after he escaped from the Colonial War Memorial Hospital on Sunday night.

Ms Naisoro is again is reiterating the Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho’s warning that anyone found to be aiding or harboring Tupali will be arrested and face the full brunt of the law.

Meanwhile the search for Tupali continues.
