- A trough of low pressure lies just north of Fiji while another weak trough remains to the west of the group.
- Meanwhile, the moist easterlies that are prevalent over the country are expected to be enhanced over Fiji from tomorrow.
- Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Cloudy periods with brief showers over Serua/Namosi, Suva/Nausori-Tailevu areas, Naitasiri, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
- Elsewhere, fine apart from possible isolated afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms.
- Showers becoming frequent in the west later tomorrow and gradually spreading over the rest of the country.
- Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
- Outlook for Saturday: Some showers over most places.
- Isolated thunderstorms with heavy falls likely.
