A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers remains slow moving over the group.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning it is expected to gradually drift southeastwards and affect the country till later today.

The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over most places.

Showers gradually easing and clearing from the west later today.

Isolated heavy falls expected with localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.

Moderate northerly to southerly winds, gusty at times with winds becoming easterly from later today.

Moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Saturday  expect cloudy periods with brief showers over the eastern parts of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Taveuni , Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti group.

Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.
