A trough of low pressure lies to the northwest of Fiji and gradually moving towards the group.

According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this afternoon an associated cloud and showers is expected to affect most parts from later today.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Yasawa and Mamanuca group, Vanua Levu, the interior of the other larger islands and northern Viti Levu.

Elsewhere, some showers and isolated thunderstorms, becoming frequent especially in the afternoon or evening.

Isolated heavy falls expected.

Moderate east to northeast winds and moderate seas.

Outlook for Sunday, occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over most places.
