A heavy rain alert remains in force over the Fiji group and a flash flood alert remains in force for all flash flood prone areas, small streams and low lying areas of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.
According to the weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning, a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over Fiji.
The associated cloud and showers continue to affect parts of the country.
Meanwhile, a northwest to southeast wind flow prevails over the group.
The forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group, expect occasional showers, heavy at times and isolated thunderstorms for Vanua Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca group, northern Viti Levu (Rakiraki to Northern Tailevu) and interior of Viti Levu.
Elsewhere, cloudy periods with showers especially in the afternoon or evening.
Isolated heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
Moderate to fresh southeast to northwest winds and moderate to rough seas.
