The Meteorological Services has issued a coastal inundation alert for the coastal areas of Southwestern Viti Levu (Natadola to Coral Coast), southern coastal areas of Vatulele, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau Group and Lomaiviti Group.

Fiji Met says this is due to a high-pressure system and a low pressure system to the far southwest of the group that is generating and directing moderate southerly swells over Fiji Waters.

There is a risk of sea flooding especially during high tides for coastal areas of Southwestern Viti Levu (Natadola to Coral Coast), southern coastal areas of Vatulele, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau Group and Lomaiviti Group.

There will be damaging to severe coastal inundation of debris along low lying coastal areas especially during high tides.

Sea conditions may be dangerous for recreational activities.

The high tide today is at 8:35pm, on Tuesday it will be at 8:25am, on Wednesday high tide will be 9.15am, and on Thursday it will be 10.00am.
