“We need to stick to our game plan.”

Waratahs captain Jake Gordon had this to say ahead of their Super Rugby Pacific round 5 fixture against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

“Drua is a different team at home and I can imagine the crowd will be pretty much animated and loud and we are excited for it,” he said.

Gordon added that with the home crowd backing the Drua, it would be a different kind of challenge.

“What is important is that we sort of play our rugby and do not get caught up trying to play the Fijian style of rugby, which they play pretty well.

“The way the crowd gets involved, it is a different challenge but I think we need to keep hold of the ball and hoping for a good result.”

The 20-test Wallaby said the Drua were dangerous in counter attack and they “need to limit how much opportunity we are going to give them”.

He said the Drua was improving every year and were a very exciting team to watch.

“I think the Drua are improving every year and they play really well at home especially in front of their people, they are hard to beat.”
