The iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) opened a new office in Vunidawa, Naitasiri this week.
CEO Solomone Nata said the office will open once a week, but based on demand, the opening days will be extended.
There are 1,023 leases involving 31,887.92 hectares, mostly for agricultural purposes, generating around $980,000.00 as annual rent.
TLTB has distributed $2.6m this year to the landowners compared to $1.7m last year.
The establishment of this new office marks a significant step forward in TLTB’s mission to support the iTaukei people by providing accessible and efficient services.
