QUEEN Victoria School is the new champ of the most-coveted secondary school Deans rugby trophy after defeating neighbour Ratu Kadavulevu School in an aggressively-contested final encounter this evening.
The boys from Vulinitu relentlessly fought to the last whistle, narrowly-escaping 13-12.
The former Dean’s trophy holders, RKS, had led 7-3 at the halftime break.
RKS had scored the first points from a converted try while QVS replied with a penalty a minute before halftime.
