Vuidreketi commissioned as Fiji’s Ambassador Designate to US

Former South Pacific Tourism Organisation chief executive Ilisoni Vuidreketi is Fijis new Ambassador Designate to the United States of America.

Mr Vuidreketi was officially commissioned into the position at a ceremony held at the State House in Suva this morning.

According to the Government, the former trade commissioner to the USA and Canada has more than 20 years of senior management experience at national and regional levels, and in areas of trade, tourism, finance, investment and SME development.

He served as SPTO chief executive from 2010 to 2016, and also served as adviser to rural village projects, youth, women, school committees, NGOs, and other community groups.
