Savuto Vakadewavosa, renowned as Fiji’s Vude Prince, has launched his latest album Na i Loloma.

Seven years in the making, the album features 15 tracks showcasing Savuto’s collaboration with nine producers, nine co-writers and six featured artists, including the Yanu Boyz, Laisa Vulakoro and Vanuatu songbird Vanessa Quai.

The first single, Veiraiyaki, a collaboration with Vude Queen Laisa Vulakoro, also premiered its music video on Savuto’s official YouTube channel during the launch.

Savuto said he was indebted to people who had supported him throughout his music career.

“I’m very grateful to my friends and family for being here,” he said.

“I have been working on the album for the past seven years. It was back in 2019, and you know good things take time.

“And we finally completed the album in October last year.”

Savuto also acknowledges Vulakoro for supporting him.

The album’s diverse tracklist includes songs such as Oilei Cikobia, Matakau Ni Bogi, 2 Bottles Waca La and more, each a testament to Savuto’s versatility as an artist.

Savuto has made a name for himself in the music industry over the years, winning awards at the Fiji Performing Rights Association Music Awards (FIPRA Music Awards) including Best iTaukei Song for Curu Mai in 2015 and Most Popular Music Video for Misunderstood in 2018.

His musical journey began in 2011 with his debut single Bulou Noqu i Tau, a fusion of electronic pop and traditional Fijian vude.
