Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation is funding the construction of an ambulance bay and upgrading the entrance of the Rakiraki hospital.

$25,000 was handed over to the hospital Board of Visitors recently.

“This act of kindness will bring hope and crucial care to countless patients being transported to the hospital or transferred for further treatment,” said Vodafone ATH Foundation in a social media post.

It stated this is a true testament to community spirit and making a real difference in lives.

Board of Visitors chairman, Sanmogam Gounder welcomed the financial assistance.

“This money will be used to extend the entrance to the hospital.”

“This will allow ambulances and patients more convenience while arriving and departing the hospital, giving them a roof over their heads.”

Construction works will commence soon.
