FIJI Airways Flying Fijians 28-year-old centre Jale Vatubua, who has fought back from a seven-week knee injury suffered in the Pacific Nations Cup, makes his Rugby World Cup debut against Uruguay today.

“In my head, I was always going to make this World Cup and there was nothing that was going to stop me,” he told World Rugby.

“Whatever the injury, I was going to overcome it. With belief and prayer, I just had to have trust in the process,” he added.

Vatubua and the Flying Fijians take on Uruguay at 5.15pm today.
