DOMINATION was the main force driving the USP Raiders rugby league team as they beat Conua Kingfishers 36-14 in the elimination round of the Vodafone Cup yesterday.
The Raiders kept a firm lead at half-time with a 14-4 lead over their Nadroga opponents with a converted try and two unconverted tries.
After the break, a further 22 points was added to the Raiders side of the scoresheet.
This was made possible with three converted tries and an unconverted try.
The Kingfishers managed to extend their points in the second half with a converted try and an unconverted one.
The win sees the USP Raiders move onward into the competition, emerging victorious after a tough contest.
Meanwhile, prior to the elimination rounds yesterday, the final standings of the competition after the round robin saw the Raiders sit in fourth place.
At that ranking, the table showed they had 11 matches, drew none, lost three and earned 22 points.
