THE week-long Fiji Fringe Festival 2024 is the ultimate destination for creativity, talent and artistic innovation.

It has events and entertainment every evening right in the heart of Suva, as well as Nadi for the first time.

Director Sharleen Ali says there are a number of international acts as well as local performers and definitely a show for everyone with more than 30 acts to choose from.

“This year we’re bringing audiences an exciting range of international acts, as well as all of your favourite local Fijian performers,” Ms Ali said.

“With 33 acts to choose from over this week, there’s a show for everyone.”

Speaking about last year’s success, Ms Ali said the Fiji Fringe Festival 2023 had attracted more than 11,000 people and gave back a sum of $80,000 to the participating artistes “all within eight days of 30 shows and 12 workshops”.

The festival opened last weekend with a show featuring a star-studded lineup in Etta Gonerogo and the Yanu Boyz at USP’s ICT Centre while the Oceania Pavilion had singer SASSY who offered an intimate evening with all of her greatest hits, with special guest appearances from Big Willz and Tawake Jackson.

The festival will also feature Vude Queen Laisa Vulakoro, Hehona band, Justin Hickes, Paulini Bautani and Dolce Sounds who will be bringing a variety of fun and enjoyable entertainment.
