TWENTY players have been selected to represent Fiji at the Australian Football League (AFL) Pacific Nations challenge in Cairns Australia.
AFL Fiji has named a 20-member Fiji under-17 girls squad for the Pacific Nations Challenge in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
The young players will have the opportunity to represent Fiji on the international stage as they compete against teams at the regional tournament.
The squad features a mix of young talent across various local schools, with the players selected to carry Fiji’s hopes in the U17 girls competition. The 20-member squad are; Adi Ema Vuicuvu, Tabitha Salusalu, Elenoa Ratusaki, Inise Masi, Suliana Daunia, Ruby Kulinidilo, Wasela Saurara, Katarina Natoga, Paulina Collin, Lice Baleisuva, Jackie Naicegu, Sesilia Waibuta, Serai Vosataki, Lynn Catinaivalu, Sera Naisualevu, Lucinda Bulatiko, Kinishasa Sawake, Janviv Salailagi, Elina Wati and Venina Naisaluwaki.
The tournament in Cairns will provide Fiji U17 girls with valuable international exposure and an opportunity to test themselves against teams from the region.
The squad will now turn its attention to preparations for the challenge ahead, with the players aiming to make the most of their opportunity to represent Fiji.
The AFL Pacific Nations Challenge will take place on September 11-13 at Cairns, Queensland, Australia.
