Fiji Airways has cancelled its scheduled service from Nadi to Hong Kong as Typhoon Noul continues to disrupt air travel across Hong Kong, with passengers urged to monitor the latest flight updates as the severe weather system approaches.
The airline confirmed that Flight FJ393, scheduled to depart Nadi for Hong Kong yesterday, had been cancelled due to the impact of the typhoon.
Fiji Airways says its teams are already in direct contact with all affected passengers and has arranged a supplementary service to minimise disruption.
The replacement FJ393 flight will now depart Nadi at 1:30pm today, while the return FJ392 service from Hong Kong will depart at 9:30pm on 26 July (Hong Kong time).
The national carrier is encouraging customers to regularly check the Fiji Airways website for updated flight information, saying it will continue to monitor the situation closely and make further operational changes if necessary.
“The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority,” Fiji Airways said.
The airline also thanked customers for their patience and understanding as weather conditions continue to affect operations.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) says Typhoon Noul has already caused significant disruption to flight schedules.
As of 4:50pm on 25 July, airport authorities reported that 29 departing flights and 20 arriving flights had been cancelled, while 126 departures and 112 arrivals had been delayed.
Airport officials have warned that a much larger number of flights are expected to be affected on 26 July as the storm moves closer to Hong Kong.
