Another tropical disturbance system, TD06F has developed in the region.

Located between Vanuatu and New Caledonia, TD06F currently has winds of around 50–60 km/ph.

Joint Typhoon Warning Center analysis shows TD06F is in a relatively favourable environment for further development due to warm (28–29°C) sea surface temperatures.

Fiji Meteorological Service states global models have picked up this system and continue to move it South-eastwards with slight intensification.

“Potential for this system to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 to 48 hours is moderate,” said Fiji Met.
