Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has confirmed the appointment of an acting Commissioner for Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) will be made by the Judicial Legal Services Commission.

This comes as former commissioner Rashmi Aslam resigned last week.

Mr Turaga said he was yet to make his submission as this week, he was trying to finish off Parliament work such as tabling of Bills.

“At the same time, the ministry is dealing with few other matters and will take things one at a time and it is on top of our priority as how we will move forward,” he said.

“So once the decision is made then we will relay it to you but the announcement will made by His Excellency, the President.”
