THE Fiji Meteorological Service has advised that another tropical disturbance christened TD15F has formed closer to the Fiji Group.
Acting director weather Misaele Funaki said a strong wind warning has been issued for all Fiji waters and a heavy rain warning is in force for the whole of the country.
Two tropical disturbances TD 14F located about 310km north of Port Vila and TD15F located about 675km west-northwest of Viwa Island are being closely monitored, he said.
Mr Funaki said at this stage TD14F has a low to moderate potential of developing into a category 1 system in the next 24 to 48 hours while TD15F has a moderate potential to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours.
TD14F does not pose a direct threat to Fiji at this stage, however TD15F is bringing in heavy rainfall and strong winds which will be felt in the Western Division and Yasawa and Mamanuca Groups as it moves closer to Fiji.
