Transfer window still open

The pre-season transfer window is still open for soccer players around the country ahead of a new season this year.

Gabrieli Matanisiga will return to Rewa FC from Wellington Olympic FC after the latter officially received his international transfer certificate.

Bruce Hughes, the former Rewa midfielder will return to the club from Suva FC in a move which will see him reunite with his brother Setareki Hughes.

Solomon Islands international player Jackson Wale who plays in Fiji handed in a transfer request to move to Nadroga FC from Navua FC.

The transfers are being made before the commencement of another football season which begins with the Champion vs Champions tournament between Rewa and Labasa.

The showdown for the two teams will be held on February 1 at Subrail Park in Labasa with a second one on February 9 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.

Meanwhile, Matanisiga is back in training with the Rewa side ahead of the clash.
