The Reserve Bank of Fiji is forecasting tourist arrivals for 2024 to be 985,524, which will be 15,000 short of the one million mark.

In their November Economic Review released yesterday, the RBF states in the year to October, visitor arrivals grew by an annual 6.5 percent to 822,253 visitors.

RBF added this was fuelled by higher arrivals mainly from Australia, New Zealand, the US, and Pacific Islands.

“Given the outcome noted so far, visitor arrivals are expected to record an annual growth of 6.0 percent in 2024 (to 985,524 visitors), which would result in a new peak for the tourism industry.”
