DEPUTY Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka said the year 2025 marked another new chapter for Fiji’s tourism sector.
He made this remark while officiating at the opening of the Fiji Tourism Exchange (FTE) 2025 held at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort on Denarau, Nadi.
“With visitor arrivals already reaching a million and expanded air connectivity, through our national airline Fiji Airways, opening doors to Asia and North America, Fiji is ready to welcome the world,” Mr Gavoka said.
“To our exhibitors, this is your platform—whether you represent a small tour company or a luxury resort, you are ambassadors of Fijian hospitality.
“We have to also remember that new products don’t necessarily have to mean a new hotel. Even if you have added five new rooms, or switched some of your fleet to electronic vehicles, or added a new experience in your tour itinerary, it is still worth showcasing because it adds value.
“To our buyers and international guests, your partnership and confidence in Fiji fuel our progress.
“You are not just investors — you are part of our story.
“Fiji is bold, ready and reaching further. As our brand reflects, I hope you feel the happiness that comes naturally in Fiji and share that same story with the rest of the world.”
