The tourism industry clocked another milestone in July – it earned the country $351million which was an all-time record for any month.

The country received 98,332 visitors in July that directly correlates to the massive $351m earnings.

In June tourism earnings were $330million.

“July was our highest month for visitor arrivals in Fiji ever. I’m incredibly proud of our industry – success is not assumed, and comes with a lot of hard work,” said Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill.

“What’s particularly pleasing is to see some of our strategic initiatives working well.

“More dispersal across Fiji, growth across our markets not just core, more tourists choosing adventure and wellness options, and growth in our events.”

So far this year, Fiji has welcomed 545,487 tourist arrivals into the country, with Tourism Fiji stating the latest consumer trends show a surge in interest in solo travel, high earners prioritising travel and the growth of wellness tourism.

Two thousand three hundred and seventy-one tourist arrivals in July were via cruise passengers.
