Kula Wild Adventure Park is Fiji’s biggest Family Fun Park and an ecological preserve in Fiji.
It is a wheelchair-friendly park located right across Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort in Sigatoka.
The park boasts an extensive area of natural, semi-natural or planted space set aside for local and tourist enjoyment and recreation and for the protection of wildlife in an environment close to its natural habitats.
It lies in a valley of natural creek winding down from hills, with rocks, trees and natural vegetation.
Built therein are large walk-through aviaries large turtle pool, marine aquarium displaying many species of soft and hard corals tropical fish and other marine critters.
There is a gift shop with local artefacts such as handicrafts, soft toys and designer clothing all locally made.
Kids splash pool with water slides, various water fountains, dump bucket and many more for the entertainment of the kids while parents enjoy their time relaxing with cold drinks, beer or wine.
Check out the 110-meter Splash mountain jungle slide that drops down, with twists and turns, from the top of the hill, flies over the creek to a mighty splash landing.
With the redevelopment of the wild adventure park combined with the food court, beverage and ice cream bar visitors have a facility where they can chill out with their loved ones during the tour.
The park has won Fiji’s ‘Excellence in Tourism’ award seven times since 1997.
It was awarded the Tourism Sustainability Award and International Phoenix Award for its conservation and research work on endangered species.
In addition, the park strives to increase environmental issue awareness and educate local children in conservation.
The park regularly offers free classes in which children may learn about Fiji’s environment, pollution, and conservation and preservation of our natural environment.
Over 8000 children have taken these classes.
The park has established a captive breeding program for the critically endangered Fiji crested iguana and Fiji banded iguana since 1998.
Close to 80 crested iguanas have been bred and released back to Monuriki Island as part of its captive breeding for release program.
Kula Eco Park works with a number of organisations to support Fiji and wildlife.
They include the National Trust of Fiji, the Endangered Species Recovery Council of San Diego, and the Zoological Parks Board of New South Wales to name a few. Kula Eco Park is an honorary associate of the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia.
