THE ten finalists of the Miss World Fiji took their modelling ability to the walkway during the Top Model fashion show over the weekend.

This was a major stop along the way for the 10 beauty queens vying for the spot.

More than 200 guests attended the event which was held at the newly opened Grand Pacific Hotel last Saturday.

Saturday night’s show was an officially judged event, one of three that will contribute towards the naming of Miss World Fiji to be held July 26 at The Pearl South Pacific Resort.

According to Andhy Blake, Fiji national director for Miss World and mentor for the finalists the girls will be judged on their deportment, presentation and modelling ability.

The girls modelled clothes that were never seen previously in Fiji — saris from Memsaab, evening gowns from Treehouse Boutique and cocktail dresses from Miss Moo — for a fabulous evening of fashion.

Jade Fiji styled the girls’ hair while Salon 21 did their make-up. This was a preview of what people can expect at the crowning later this month.
