Jai Narayan College student Demira Lal scored 393/400, the highest mark for the Suva secondary school in the Fiji Year 13 certificate examination.
“I’m really happy, content and blessed,” the 18-year-old said.
Ms Lal said she planned to pursue a double degree in engineering and commerce overseas, preferably in Australia.
“I tried to manage my time and balance school life together with extracurricular activities because I took part in both.
“It was hard but I had supportive teachers, parents and friends.” I
n the provisional results announced last week, JNC achieved a 96.4 per cent pass rate for Year 13 with a 100 per cent pass rate in technical drawing, computer science, geography and home economics.
