ABOUT 35 to 40 golfers are expected to grace the Two-person Ambrose event at the Pearl Resort Championship Golf Course in Pacific Harbour on Sunday, says club manager Graeme Bell.
With national reps such as Olaf Allen Jr expected to feature, Bell says it will be an exciting event where top golfers from Pacific Harbour such as Paul Gil, David Voss and Peter Crawford are expected to rub shoulders against some players from Suva.
“We have been having some players from Suva coming down to play here in Pacific Harbour and we’re hoping for a good turnout on Sunday,” he said.
“Olaf Allen Jr has been coming here for sometime so we expect him to compete against some of out top golfers here in our club.”
The event is sponsored by the Uprising Beach Resort. Bell acknowledged the Pacific Harbour-based resort for sponsoring the event.
“We’re thankful to Uprising, they will be supplying the prizes and we look forward to a successful outing here on Sunday.”
The event tees off at 9am, with the registration expected to be done earlier on.
