Tavua and Nasinu football teams have missed out on qualification for the 2025 Bic Fiji FACT after suffering heavy defeats in the final round of the Extra Premier League yesterday.
The top eight teams for the tournament were confirmed yesterday. Defending champions Lautoka secured their spot with a hard-fought 4-2 win over Suva, while Nadi booked their place in style, thrashing Navua 5-2. Ba also confirmed their qualification with a dominant 5-0 victory over Tavua.
Meanwhile, Nasinu had a chance to qualify with at least a draw against Rewa but were comprehensively beaten 0-8 by the Delta Tigers at the Uprising Sports Complex in Pacific Harbour.
Labasa, the current table leaders, continued their strong form with a commanding 3-0 win over Nadroga.
The pool matches for the 2025 Fiji FACT will be held from May 30-June 1 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
