THE price of Fiji’s longest running newspaper, The Fiji Times will increase from 95 cents to $1.10 on May 1.
Fiji Times general manager and publisher Hank Arts made the announcement yesterday explaining the new price was because of cost increases and was unavoidable.
“This is inclusive of 9 per cent VAT. There will be no change in areas outside of Viti Levu which will remain at $1.40,” Mr Arts said.
He added, Shanti Dut and Nai Lalakai would remain at the same cover price.
“The new E-Edition now available world-wide, will also remain at the same subscription rate.
“We thank you for your continuing support.”
