Posh Picnic was established to help ease the burden of local couples and love birds who travel from all over the world to stage their “magical” proposal in Fiji.
It was founded in 2020 by 24-year-old Melisha Joyce Narayan who said she started the business after receiving requests for planning and decorating events, from friends and family.
“After successfully completing a few projects, I started gaining confidence and the amazing journey to be a part of everyone’s special event started,” the Nacovi, Nadi, lass said.
Posh Picnic was among the first online page in Fiji to officially start doing proposal setups. “The reason I started with marriage proposals is because I saw that no one was doing it in Fiji.
“So I decided to go into a market that clearly had a lot of potential locally and internationally.”

Apart from marriage proposal events, Ms Narayan offers a wide variety of services including anniversary and birthday decorations, social events, photo shoot setup, corporate parties and many more.
“After serving more than 350 customers in 2021, I am grateful to have been given this opportunity to share how I serve to make events special and memorable,” she said.
“Our aim is to always provide the best possible service to our customers and ensure their special moments are carefully planned and decorated so that it becomes a lifetime memory.”
She said the perks of her job was getting to experience first-hand the raw emotions expressed by love-struck partners and sharing with them their unforgettable moments.
“I am always present to witness the proposal and the best part is the girl’s reaction – it’s always like a dream come true for them.
