Four schools in the Western Division are badly affected by termite infestation.
This was highlighted during the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji annual convention in Suva last Sunday.
National president Arun Deo Padarath said the problem was getting serious.
“Four of our Western schools are seriously affected by termite infestation,” Mr Padarath said.
Gurukul Primary School, Pt Vishnu Deo Memorial College and Arya Samaj Primary School in Lautoka, along with Arya Kanya Pathshala in Ba have been infected.
Mr Padarath said despite submitting requests, they had not received any assistance from the Ministry of Education.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Prof Biman Prasad said Government would allocate funds in the 2025-2026 National Budget to address the spread of termites in the country.
