The Fiji Hockey Federation received another timely boost from a local leading telecommunication company with sports gear and uniforms as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 Hockey5s World Cup in Oman.

The federation thanked Vodafone Fiji for its invaluable support in providing the national hockey team with essential kits ahead of their upcoming world cup outing.

Fiji Hockey president Emi Nawaqakuta thanked Vodafone for showing its support in time of need.

“The support comes at a crucial juncture as the Fiji women’s team prepares to participate in the Hockey Fives World Cup in Oman, with their departure scheduled for the 20th of this month.

The men’s team will follow suit, leaving on the 24th of January,” she said.

“Vodafone Fiji’s contribution to the provisioning of competition uniforms will go a long way in meeting our team’s financial requirements and ensuring they are well-equipped for success on the global stage. ”

This is the first time Fiji will be competing at a hockey world cup, which makes this tour for the two sides a historical one.

Meanwhile, Vodafone’s head of sponsorship Adriu Vakarau congratulated the teams on their previous successes and wished them the best for their world cup outing.
