Tropical Cyclone Mal was located at 14.7S 174.3E, 420km Northwest of Yasawa-i-Rara or 480km West-northwest of Nadi at midday.
The Fiji Meteorological Service says the Category 2 storm has maximum winds of 55 knots [100km/hr, gusting to 75knots [140km/hr], increasing to 65 knots [120km/hr, gusting to 90 knots [170km/hr] by midnight tonight.
It is moving Southeast at 29km/hr.
At 12am tomorrow, it is expected to be located around 17.2S 175.6E or 220km West-southwest of Yasawa-i-Rara or 200km West-northwest of Nadi.
At 12pm tomorrow Wednesday November 15m TC Mal should be located at 19.6S 176.9E or 220km
South-southwest of Nadi or 150km West-southwest of Kadavu.
TC Mal at 12am on Thursday is expected to be located around 21.7S 178.0E or 300km South of
Kadavu or 350km East of Conway Reef.
At 12pm on Thursday, it is expected to be located at 23.6S 179.2E or 510km East-southeast of Conway Reef or 400km South-southwest of Ono-i-Lau.
