MCDONALD’S Fiji Drua Women captain Bitila Tawake is urging rugby fans in Ba to come out in numbers this Saturday as the team prepares for its final home game of the 2026 Super W season against the Brumbies at the 4R Stadium, Govind Park.

Fresh from their thrilling 29-24 comeback victory over the Western Force last week, the Drua Women are determined to build on that momentum and secure another important win in front of their home supporters.

Tawake said home matches carry extra significance for the team.

“Home games are never easy, to be honest. We always have to show up. It’s our home ground. Losing is not an option,” the skipper said.

“I think it’s so important for us to win everything going off from now. Our recovery, going back to the whiteboard and seeing what we can improve from this game as well.

“Even though it’s a win in the second round against Western Force, there’s still a lot to work on.”

Beyond the team’s campaign, the season has also been a significant one for Tawake acknowledged the challenges that come with leadership but credited her fellow leaders and teammates for making the responsibility easier to manage.

“I’m just so grateful I have a good leadership group.

“The support and the way we handle responsibility, sharing the workload is so easy. That’s how leadership works as well. When you share the workload, it often just reflects on the team as well.”

The Drua Women will be hoping another strong crowd can help inspire them to back-to-back victories when they host the Brumbies at 4R Stadium on Saturday.
