THE Tailevu and Serua Netball Associations are playing a key role in the revival of netball in their provinces with both associations successfully launching their respective knockout competitions and attracting strong participation from players and supporters.
The Tailevu Netball Association recently launched its 2026 season, with Netball Fiji Transition Oversight Committee member Mrs. Dorothy Prasad attending as the chief guest.
Mrs. Prasad commended the association for the strong turnout and the enthusiasm shown by players, officials, and supporters throughout the opening event.
The season launch brought together teams across various age grades, providing young athletes with valuable opportunities to compete, develop their skills, and foster a love for the sport.
Similarly, the Serua Netball Association commenced its knockout competition last week, featuring Under-17, Open Women’s, and Open Mixed divisions.
The competition provides a platform for players to participate, compete, and contribute to the growth of netball within the province.
Through their commitment to grassroots development and community engagement, both Tailevu and Serua are helping to build a stronger future for netball and supporting the ongoing revival of the sport throughout Fiji.
