FSC Rugby Club head coach Kemueli Namoho says it was the team’s all-round preparation, physically, spiritually, and emotionally combined with unwavering support from families, fans, and workers of the Rarawai FSC Sugar Mill, that powered them to glory in the Ba Rugby Union Inox Trophy final.

FSC claimed a sweet 19-8 win over Bukuya at Vinod Patel Park last Saturday, in a match where unity and belief were just as vital as tactics and talent.

“We thank God for the win.

“Our victory comes through our faith in the Lord we know He is the source of our strength. I also thank the boys, the coaching staff, team management, and our loyal supporters,” Namoho said.

Led by the accurate boot of Sakeasi Koula, who slotted four penalties, the Rarawai-based side held a 6-3 lead at halftime before pulling ahead in the second spell.

Chants of “Sweet Rugby” echoed from the sidelines as FSC kept the pressure on. Bukuya’s high tackles cost them a penalty try, and Koula added another three-pointer to seal the win.

Bukuya managed one try but missed the conversion.

Meanwhile, in the Vinod Patel Cup final, Nailaga edged out Toge 31-27 in a thrilling finish.
